The government primary school assistant teacher recruitment exam scheduled to be held on January 2 has been postponed due to the three-day state mourning declared by the government following the death of BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia.
On Tuesday (December 30), Director General of the Directorate of Primary Education Abu Nur Md. Shamsuzzaman confirmed the matter.
He said that in the changed situation, a possible date for organizing the exam on January 9, 2026 (Friday) has been set.
He further said that this is not the final date; the final date will be announced soon after discussions with the Deputy Commissioners (DCs) and their opinions are taken.
Section 144 will be imposed at each center to conduct the exam smoothly. The Directorate of Primary Education has warned candidates not to deal with any unscrupulous group in the name of recruitment. The final date and time of the exam will also be communicated to the candidates through short message service (SMS).
