Begum Khaleda Zia is no longer with us

 

BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia is no more. She breathed her last at 6 am on Tuesday (December 30) at Evercare Hospital in the capital after being under treatment for a long time in a serious condition. (Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilaihi Rajiun)

A post on the BNP's verified Facebook page said, 'BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia passed away today at 6 am just after Fajr. Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilaihi Rajiun. We pray for the forgiveness of her soul and ask everyone to pray for her departed soul.' The same information was also given in a post on the BNP Media Cell's Facebook page.

Her death has cast a shadow of mourning across the country, including the political arena.
